Happy Anniversary to Us: e3 Diagnostics Turns 10!

Much can happen in a decade. Think about it. 10 years ago, there was no TikTok, the Chicago Cubs were still in a 100-year World Series drought, rideshares were less popular than taxis, and streaming television was in its infancy. Also, several well-known audiometric equipment distributors and service providers banded together to form e3 Diagnostics, a nationwide organization dedicated to putting the customer first and providing them with a one-stop-shop for all of their hearing and balance instrument needs.

The world has changed drastically in the 10 years since e3 Diagnostics was conceived, and we have adapted with the times. While we’ve stuck to our guns and still provide the same great, local, and customer-centric service the businesses we’re made up of were built on, we’ve also stayed on the cutting edge of hearing and balance technology. This has helped us offer our customers the most advanced instruments and responsive service so they can provide their patients with the best treatment possible.

Stronger Together

Before e3 Diagnostics was born, Demant, a world-leading hearing healthcare and technology group, had a vision to create a nationwide network of distributors to effectively sell equipment from the multiple brands they own and provide responsive local service. However, instead of starting from scratch and competing with existing companies with strong presences in their respective markets, they made offers to acquire the most renowned audiology equipment distributors across the United States. In the summer of 2011 multiple agreements were finalized by Demant to acquire several businesses.

It all started with the acquisition of Gordon Stowe and Associates, the leading distributor of audiometric equipment in the Midwest with several offices scattered throughout the region. Shortly after, MSR West and Northeastern Technologies group were acquired, and the rest came shortly thereafter. 

Today, e3 Diagnostics is made up of all the following companies:

Ever since forming e3, these businesses have worked together to provide the customer with unmatched audiometric equipment sales and service. While they are responsible for their own territories, they frequently lean on one another to share information, advice, and resources.

While Demant acquired all these businesses to make them one, they never forced them to change their ways. In fact, they encouraged them to continue to do the same things that made them successful for years. That’s why they continued to thrive. They didn’t have to change the way they conducted business and were able to provide even greater service to the customer because they had the support and resources of an international leader in hearing care technology behind them. 

These past 10 years have been amazing – from the incredible advancements in hearing and balance technology our manufacturer partners have engineered to the growth of our organization. Today, we have over 30 offices across the country, all staffed with highly experienced audiology equipment experts. Our local approach allows us to be your most responsive, helpful option when looking for solutions to help you provide the best care and grow your hearing care practice.
